From checklist to binder
01
Choose a look
Pick a frame in the studio and preview it with different cards. You can also upload your own frame.
02
Pick your cards
Choose a set, select individual cards or a subset, and check that the selected cards match the gaps in your binder.
03
Print & cut
Choose A4 or Letter and an ink mode, review your pages, and download the PDF. Print a test page before the full batch.
How do I print placeholders at the correct size?
The PDF places each placeholder at 63 mm wide and 88 mm tall. In your PDF viewer or print dialog, choose 100% or Actual size and turn off “Fit to page” or any automatic scaling. Match the paper setting to the A4 or US Letter PDF you exported.
Print one page first. Measure the line labeled “50 mm” at the bottom of the page: it should measure 50 mm on paper. If it does not, check the printer and PDF viewer scaling settings before printing the remaining pages. Printer settings and paper feed can affect the final dimensions.
Enable small cutting marks in the studio if you want guides. Cut at the guides using scissors or a paper trimmer, then place the inserts in your binder pockets. Choose paper or light cardstock that suits your printer and binder.
How many placeholders fit on each page?
A4 pages hold up to nine placeholders in three columns and three rows. US Letter pages hold up to six in three columns and two rows. The placeholder dimensions stay the same in both layouts. A partially filled final page contains only the cards you selected.
Can I print only missing cards or a special subset?
Yes. In “Pick your cards,” clear the selection and choose individual cards, or use the subset buttons. Search by name, number, rarity, or finish, then use “Select shown” to select the filtered results. The PDF includes your selected cards in your chosen order, with the copy count you set.
Subset names depend on the checklist. A catalog may separate a main set, secret rares, or collections such as Trainer Gallery and Galarian Gallery. Review the visible groups and checklist scope before treating a selection as a complete master set.
Does every set include all reverse-holo and special variants?
No. Sets loaded from TCGdex use the checklist, card scans, and variant information available from that catalog. Where reverse-holo availability is reported, the studio offers “Add reverse-holo slots” under “Parallel finishes.” This adds separate placeholders; it does not verify every printing.
Stamped cards, promotional versions, parallel finishes, and special subsets may be incomplete or absent. Compare the checklist with your own collection requirements. You can import a custom checklist to add entries that the catalog does not cover.
Which ink modes are available?
- Full color
- Color artwork and your selected frame.
- Black & white
- Grayscale artwork for a monochrome print.
- Save ink
- Faint artwork without the decorative frame.
- Text only
- Card labels without artwork or a decorative frame.
Review the print preview after changing a mode. You can also turn card pictures off. Actual ink use depends on your printer and settings.
Can I use my own checklist or card scans?
Use “Import my own cards” in the card selection step, or “Import a custom set” in the set picker. The studio accepts a JSON checklist or PNG, JPEG, and WebP card images. Download the example checklist from the import dialog to see the supported fields.
Each checklist card needs a name and number. Optional fields include an HTTPS image URL, rarity, finish, language, set code, and section. The section field creates your subset groups. If a scan cannot be loaded, try text-only mode to print labels.
Where are my selection and downloaded PDFs saved?
The studio saves its working session in this browser on this device when browser storage is available. Clearing browser data or switching browsers can remove that session. Use “Save project” to download a portable project file with your checklist, selection, settings, and custom frames, and “Open project” to restore it.
The PDF is generated in your browser and saved through your browser's download function. Card scans and print fonts must finish loading for an artwork PDF to export successfully.
How do I track owned cards and print only what is missing?
Open “Your collection” in the card-selection step and mark the cards you own. The default scope uses the main set and secret rares where those groups are available. Select other cards and choose “Use selected cards as my collection” to include optional subsets or finishes.
“Print missing” selects the unowned slots for your PDF while preserving the full collection scope and completion percentage. In the expanded binder, enable “My collection” to see owned scans beside missing placeholders. Each finish is tracked separately. Progress autosaves on this device; project files and explicit account-library saves include a snapshot. Update a library save after making changes on a device.
